Project Title : QA Analyst / Tester

Project Description : Our client is looking for an experienced QA Analyst/Tester to join their team. The job is a contract to hire position. After the first six months working with the client the company will evaluate if they wish to retain the person for a fulltime position. The client is a 40 year old company with over 1,000 employees spread throughout the US and abroad. They are a market leader with over 1,700 clients including numerous Fortune 100 companies. Position Summary Client is looking for an experienced QA Analyst, with a solid background and knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (including the agile methodology) and version and release management processes. The potential candidate must possess solid oral and written communication skills, and must be equally adept in working independently and as part of a team. Position Requirements - Experience working with large database systems, with some experience within a fast paced agile development process - Strong SQL knowledge - Hands on experience with Software Quality Tools (such as HP Quality Center) - Ability to interpret functional requirements, write test design documents, test cases and develop and execute test plans - Experience with automated testing (QTP) - Experience with regression tests - Bachelor's Degree Would be a bonus if the candidate had: - Experience working with Unix - Knowledge of SAS and/or AbInitio - Previous experience with Flat File Processing Systems - Additional Testing/QA Certification(s) The ideal candidate will be available for a phone interview, and a potential subsequent in person interview in New York.
